Christmas Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies

- mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- seedless raspberry or currant jelly or jam
Instructions
- cream butter and sugar until fluffy
- add remaining ingredients except jelly/jam
- chill awhile (the mixture that is)
- drop by teaspoon on a lightly greased baking pan
- make a an indentation in the center of each cookie and fill w/ a dab of jelly/jam
- bake for 10 - 12 minutes
